Yes, that it is two different colors and types of bricks on the top, but we are hoping that it will fade over the winter as the weather hits it. And if you look closely enough at the second photo you can tell where the bricks from the top of the chimney were reused to fill in the hole that they had to create.Still, we have a fixed chimney, properly vented and capped. And to make sure it works, we have had a fire every day this week.. and maybe twice on Sunday.
