Queen of the Puddings

Before Will's parents jetted off to Costa Rica to look at questals and macaws, Sylvia made for us Queen of the Puddings. I wish I was making up the name, but it came from here and so named by the public school boys of Britain long ago.

It is basically a bread pudding underneath a layer of raspberry jam, which itself is underneath a layer of baked meringue. The top is about the closest thing to Chan Tart, the Hauss/Downs Family Favorite, as I have ever come across. The baked meringue isn't quite baked to the point as the crust of Chan Tart, but the base part of the Chan is what is the top part of the Queen.

Regardless, Edward wasn't too keen on sharing, but, Sylvia made him.

He was just thrilled, as you can see. Between Edward and his #2 Son (my #1 Husband), there was no Queen of the Pudding left (though, to be fair, the chef didn't resist seconds and thirds...).
