Oysters and Kabobs

For my milestone birthday, we held a party at the house, serving 200 oysters and kabobs!  Cuz who says that they don’t go together??

 I will say that having 75 people sing you “happy birthday” is a bit overwhelming.  I think I managed to choke back the tears, though when I was asked for a speech, I went completely blank.

It was a lot of fun and lots of love and I am so grateful to have all these lovely people in my life!

Birthday and Easter in Kentucky

In April, we spent a weekend in Louisville for Easter and a milestone birthday.  I also finally got to meet my newest niece, Vivi.  She was only 10 months old.  Ahem.  My excuse? Albuquerque is really   far away….  (sshh!  don’t mention that it is closer than Xi’an…. )
