Louisville Zoo with Brando

A day at the Louisville Zoo with Brando entails a train ride immediately up walking into the place.  Considering how it has been since I have been to the Zoo, I didn’t mind.  We rode in the back, of course, and saw not a single animal.  But lots of outbuildings where I used to work when I volunteered at the zoo in what was an age ago.

It entails climbing on stone animals and then finding the real ones, only to decide that the stone animals are more fun cuz you can climb and sit on them.

It entails going into the Giraffe House to reminisce about working with these majestic animals and then racing out of there because it really stinks.

A day at the Zoo with Brando entails racing to catch up to him to tell him what an animal is before he runs off to climb on another stone animal.

It also entails facing a goat, head on.

And maybe petting one too.

It also entails spending time with the Gorillas and trying to decide if he is one or not….

or how he stacks up with the rest of the prey animals.

A day at the Zoo with Brando entails lots of running and climbing and pointing and racing and smiling and laughing and adult drinks afterwards to recover.
